Starwood Capital and LeFrak Organization commissioned Evangeline's studio to compete and generate design ideas to renovate the Perry Hotel & Resort (formerly Gansevoort) in South Beach, Miami, FL. Her firm, A.I. Design Lab, was selected as one of three finalists to present to Barry Sternlicht of Starwood, Jamie LeFrak of LeFrak Org, and other stakeholders. Evangeline served as the Architectural and Interior Designer and Project Coordinator for the hotel design competition. The scope was to develop and present the proposal, narrative book, and schematic layout and furniture selections for the port cochere and lobby, concierge, lounge, bar (shown here), guest rooms, pool deck and cabanas for the project located at 2377 Collins Avenue. Evangeline also outlined the scope of work, costs, and staff needs. Although the submission was not selected as the final design, Evangeline was honored to be invited to compete for the incredible project.
